Jesse Willard's Wristwatch, c. 1940, Augustus

This Chronograph wristwatch was made by Augustus. Augustus Bernhardt Christensen of South Bethlehem, Pennsylvania was an American watch designer and maker who has a number of wristwatch patents attributed to him. This watch, worn by Mr. Willard throughout the war, is working perfectly after some 72 years. Loan courtesy of the Family of Jesse Willard.
