Frieda Holbein Wristwatch, c. 1940, Elgin Watch Company

This watch is a United States military issued watch, marked on the back ìORD DEPT, U.S.A.î and was worn by Mrs. Holbein throughout her service as a nurse in the European Theater. The watch utilizes an Elgin 580 caliber movement retains its original dial and hands. Loan courtesy of Frieda Holbein.
